在西咸新区沣东新城，备受瞩目的城市新地标——西安国际足球中心已正式落成。其占地规模280亩，建筑面积26.8万平方米，涵盖6万余个固定座席的主场馆、2个国际标准训练场，是西北地区唯一符合国际足联标准的专业足球场馆，可承接包括世界杯在内的国际一流足球赛事。

足球中心穹顶采用华夏上古天圆地方的理念，屋檐依照周秦大跨度屋檐弧变打造而成，顶纹和立柱也分别遵循了秦汉与隋唐时的建筑特色。

The dome of the football center adopts the ancient Chinese concept of the round sky and square earth. The eaves are built according to the arc of the large-span eaves of the Zhou and Qin dynasties. The roof patterns and pillars also follow the architectural features of the Qin, Han, Sui and Tang dynasties respectively.
